From the mid-20th century, no other musical instrument developed faster or had a greater impact than the electric guitar. British Guitarists 1952-1972: Electric Pioneers examines a number of musicians that were part of a first wave of new popular music in the second half of the 20th century. A focus is placed on the guitars, amplifiers and effects used by the artists. Starting from their early days, the book looks at the evolution of the guitarist's equipment and how this has impacted on their music.
